the concept of sleep is such a strange thing to...
the more i watch my daughter sleep, the more i think about sleep as a concept. watching her with her little eyes closed, breathing deeply and resting makes me really contemplate the idea of every human being eventually having to shut down on a temporary basis to recharge. it blows my mind when i really think about it. it seems so inefficient. what all could be accomplished if sleep was no longer...

so, nails have kind of become my thing.
i’ve been obsessively painting and re-painting my nails lately but all the colors i normally love- putty gray, beige-y champagne, lavender, pale pink- have been disappointing me. until now. my signature black nails carried me through the christmas holiday but i’ve been wanting more. tonight, that’s exactly what i got.
i just gave myself what i think is a pretty badass manicure...
