i’ve ranted about the apathy of the youth of today before, so i won’t go too in-depth on that topic, but it really feels like if this generation were as politically aware and willing to fight as our parents were, we could really achieve some great things. i’m ashamed to be part of a generation that sits by so idly as an outdated, out of touch, totally batshit crazy group of bureaucrats, politicians, and rich old white people dictate our lives down to who we are allowed to love. while we were allowing unimportant bullshit like facebook rule our lives, we have allowed changing our relationship status on facebook to become more important than the ability to get a marriage license. sorry, but mark zuckerberg can’t help you get your gay lover’s life insurance payout if he dies, bro.

racism is rampant. homophobia is rampant. sexism is rampant. the economy is shit. college degrees are so expensive that only the rich people who don’t need them can get them. the masses have more access to information than any time in history but they’re more uneducated and out of the loop than ever.

wake up and smell the civil unrest, people!
